In the vibrant world of horticulture, my story unfolds, marked by years of dedication and growth, cultivating a career that blossomed from the roots of quality control to the thriving fields of pack house management.
The tale begins in 2003 when I stepped into the role of QC-L. Horticulture. In those early days, my responsibility was clear – checking flowers against stringent specifications. Every petal inspected, every stem scrutinized. It was here that I learned the art of precision, issuing Corrective Action Reports (CAR) when needed, and fostering an environment where safety and hygiene were paramount.
As the seasons changed, so did my role. By 2005, I found myself as the Pack House Senior Supervisor, a position where I not only oversaw all facets of Quality Control (QC) but also orchestrated the delicate dance of dispatch and shipment operations. The pack house became my domain, and I orchestrated its calibration with meticulous attention.
The years 2007 to 2012 marked a significant chapter as I took on the mantle of Assistant Manager/Foreman. Now, I wasn’t just tending to flowers; I was nurturing a workforce. In charge of labor, quality, recruitment, and training, the pack house thrived under my watchful eye. In the absence of the Pack House Manager, I stood ready, a testament to the trust placed in my abilities.
The narrative took a wild turn in 2012 when I embraced the role of Quality Supervisor in Wildlife. Managing daily communications with customers, controlling flower and packing stock, overseeing workers and their training, and meticulously managing documentation became my forte. It was a chapter where the wilderness met the precision of horticulture.
Then came the pinnacle – Subati Flowers beckoned in 2013, offering me the role of Pack House Manager. Here, the story unfolded with the challenge of meeting production targets and ensuring client orders were not just processed but crafted to perfection. I became a maestro, conducting a multicultural pack house team to new heights. The language of productivity, compliance with European standards (HACCP), and the ballet of occupational health and safety practices were my daily verses.
The Desire Flora era, from 2016 to 2022, saw a continuation of my journey as Pack Manager, seamlessly carrying forward the responsibilities that had become second nature to me. And now, in the present, Zeeflora stands witness to my ongoing commitment as the Packhouse Manager – a story that continues to unfold, a garden that continues to thrive.
This is not just a professional journey; it’s a story of growth, adaptation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in the ever-evolving landscape of horticulture and pack house management. The petals of experience and the roots of knowledge intertwine, creating a narrative that goes beyond the mundane and paints a picture of a career in full bloom.
